Accessibility Statement

The Anderson County LEPC recognizes the importance of providing a website that is accessible to all user groups. If you use assistive technology (such as a Braille reader, a screen reader, TTY, etc.) and the format of any material on our website interferes with your ability to access the information, please contact us for assistance.

To enable us to respond in a manner most helpful to you, please indicate the nature of your accessibility problem, the web address of the requested material and your contact information.

Standards Compliance

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), along with other groups and standards bodies, has established technologies for creating and interpreting web-based content. These technologies, which are referred to as web standards are carefully designed to deliver the greatest benefits to the greatest number of web users while ensuring the long-term viability of any document published on the web.

The Anderson County LEPC site was developed with valid XHTML Strict for structure and CSS for presentation to make accessible to any browsing device, including mobile devices.

Access Keys

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. This is a potentially very useful feature for many users. However, accesskeys often conflict with keyboard shortcuts defined by the browser or operating system. Because of this potential conflict, Anderson County LEPC does not use accesskeys.

Navigation

All pages on our site include the main menu links at the top of each page to allow ease of navigation.

Links

All links on our site contain title attributes which describe the link when the user moves a mouse cursor over the link. Whenever possible, links are written to make sense out of context.

All links can be followed in any browser, even if scripting is turned off.

There are no links that open new windows without warning.

Acronyms and abbreviations

Due to the nature of the content located on our site, we have coded acronyms and abbreviations in such a way that users can access full descriptions by moving the mouse cursor over the acronym or abbreviation. Example : World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
